Shamrock Shake Natural Green Color

Natural St. Patrick's Day shake recipe with homemade maraschino cherries - free from artificial dyes and ingredients!

MAKES: 1 MILKSHAKE
Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup vanilla ice cream (or vegan ice cream)
½ cup whole milk (or milk alternative)
¼ tsp peppermint extract
1 Color Kitchen Green Color Packet (you can use 2 packets for a deeper color)
Optional toppings: whipped cream, fresh or maraschino cherries

Directions

Add the ice cream, milk, peppermint extract, and color packet to a blender and blend until combined.

Pour into a glass and top with the toppings of your choice!

Ingredients

1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
1 ½ tsp lemon juice
½ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp almond extract

Directions

 In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water.  Stir over heat until the sugar has melted.  Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice, vanilla extract, and almond extract.

Place the cherries in a sealable jar.  Pour the syrup on top.  Seal the jar and place it in the fridge.  Let the cherries sit in the fridge for 2-3 days before using.

Vampire Cocktail | Natural Red | Dye-free

This vampire cocktail will make your blood run cold. Serve on Halloween as a cocktail or mocktail. And while the deep red color is dye-free, this drink is sure to spook your guests with sanguine sweetness!

MAKES: SYRUP FOR DOZENS OF DRINKS

INGREDIENTS

BLOOD SYRUP
½ cup agave syrup
1 Color Kitchen Red Velvet Color Packet

SUGAR RIM
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp activated charcoal
1 wedge lime

COCKTAIL (INDIVIDUAL)
2 ounces vodka or tequila
2 ounces grapefruit juice
½ ounce lime juice
½ ounce blood syrup
2 ounces sparkling water
Ice

MOCKTAIL
To make alcohol-free and kid-friendly, replace the liquor with an extra ounce of sparkling water!

DIRECTIONS

BLOOD SYRUP
Combine the agave and red velvet color packet in a bowl and mix with a fork or spoon until evenly combined.

SUGAR RIM
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and activated charcoal until evenly distributed. Rub a lime wedge along the rim of your glass, then dip it in the sugar mixture.

COCKTAIL
Fill a glass with ice, then pour in the liquor, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and sparkling water. Mix to combine.

Pour in the blood syrup. Stir lightly to keep the “blood” separated when serving. Stir to combine before drinking.

Grinch Hot Cocoa | Natural | Dye-free

Even the Grinch will start to like Christmas with this delicious drink!

MAKES: 4 CUPS

INGREDIENTS

4 cups organic milk
2 tbsp + 2 tsp (30 g.) organic sugar
2 tbsp (30 g.) organic white chocolate (for melting) chunks
1 Green Color Kitchen Color Packet
Whipped cream or marshmallows (optional)

DIRECTIONS

In a medium pot, add the milk, sugar, white chocolate and green dye.

Put over high heat and stir until temperature on a drink thermometer reaches 140-160 degrees.

Remove from heat and pour into mugs.

Top with marshmallows, whipped cream and sprinkles!

Blue Bubbly-Sparkling New Year's Eve Cocktail | Natural | Dye-free Blue

Ring in the New Year with Sparkling Blue Bubbly in just a few simple steps.

INGREDIENTS

1 bottle of champagne
½ Blue Color Kitchen Color packet 

DIRECTIONS

COLOR GEL
In a small bowl add ¼ tsp water or glycerin to 1 tsp color powder.

Blend with brush or spoon until color is dissolved.

Add another ½ tsp water and blend.

CHAMPAGNE
Fill glasses with champagne.

Add a couple drops of color gel and stir lightly.

Enjoy!

Blue Moon Milkshake | Natural | Dye-free

Who doesn’t love a good milkshake? Make it blue, and voila! Even better.

MAKES: 2 MILKSHAKES

INGREDIENTS

510 g. (18 oz.) Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
¾ cup milk
2 tsp lemon flavor
1 tsp orange flavor
1 tsp all natural cherry flavor
1 Blue Color Kitchen Color packet

WHIPPED CREAM
½ cup heavy whipping cream
7 g. sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 Color Kitchen Rainbow Sprinkles packet

DIRECTIONS

First, make the whipped cream. Using your stand mixer with whisk attachment, or with a hand mixer, add the heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl.

Whisk slowly at first, then gradually turning up the speed as the whipped cream thickens until you are at full speed. Whisk until the whipped cream is thick and doesn’t fall off the whisk.

Put whipped cream in a piping bag with decorating tip #846.

In a blender, add the ice cream, milk, lemon flavor, orange flavor, cherry flavor and blue dye. Blend until you have a smooth and creamy milkshake.

Pour into milkshake glasses and top with whipped cream.

Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles!

Baker's Note: To make this vegan, just use organic vanilla vegan ice cream (like Coconut Bliss) and use organic coconut milk instead of milk! 

Colored Ice Cubes | Natural | Artificial Dye-free

Naturally colored ice cubes to spruce up your cocktails and mocktails for any special occasion.

INGREDIENTS

4 cups water
2-4 Color Kitchen Color packets (as many colors as you like)

DIRECTIONS

Add ½ - 1 packet of color into 1 cup of water and stir to combine completely.

Pour colored water into ice trays (you'll need 2-3 ice trays).

Freeze completely then add to your beverage!

Witches Brew Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

1-2 drops Color Kitchen Color packet  "gel" (powdered colors with a few drops of water or glycerin) 
Flavored syrup
Soda water
Vodka (optional)

DIRECTIONS

COLOR GEL
In a small bowl add ¼ tsp water or glycerin to 1 tsp color powder.
Blend with brush or spoon until color is dissolved.
Add another ½ tsp water and blend.

In a glass, mix flavored syrup with ¼ cup soda water and ¾ tsp lime juice. Mix with spoon.

Add a couple drops of color “gel” (watch out, it’s extra fizzy with color!)

Add vodka to taste or enjoy as a mocktail with ice cubes.

Refreshing Blue Lemonade | Artificial Dye-free

MAKES: 10 GLASSES

INGREDIENTS

½ gallon natural or organic lemonade
½ Blue Color Kitchen Color packet 
1 lemon
1 tray ice cubes

DIRECTIONS

COLOR GEL
In a small bowl add ¼ tsp water or glycerin to 1 tsp color powder.
Blend with brush or spoon until color is dissolved.
Add another ½ tsp water and blend.

LEMONADE
Fill ½ gallon pitcher with lemonade.

Add color gel and stirs until all the color is mixed.

Add thinly sliced lemon.

Pour into jugs with ice cubes.

Enjoy!
